While turmeric is a plant of Asian origin, our organic turmeric powder comes from the Amazon region of Peru. It grows more profusely in the tropical rainforest, and in the Amazon flatlands it grows on clay-silty soil fertilized during the river’s growing phase. Due to the fertility of the soil, the rhizomes are larger and have higher turmeric acid content.

Our honey will crystallize naturally over time. To re-liquify, place the jar in a pot of water on low heat and wait until it returns to a liquid state. Do not microwave the jar. If you are in a hurry, remove a small amount of the crystallized honey and warm in a low power setting in a microwave safe container.
Much like wine, honey will vary in aroma, taste and colour from year-to-year reflecting characteristics of both the season and region.
